Choose ASIO as the Driver Type and ASIO4ALL v2 as the Audio Device: Click on Hardware Setup. The ASIO4ALL window will pop up. On the left-hand side, click on the '+' to the left of your audio interface, then enable the inputs and outputs by clicking on the 'power button' next to them. I use ableton live 9 with a Novation Launchkey 49 (midi controller that connects straight to USB). I recently started using the ASIO4all driver, but it occasionally glitches and throws a bunch of distortion on every signal Live puts out.

ASIO4ALl - no sound So I just got a new laptop and stilled ableton+the asio4all driver. Now I cant get any sound when i'm choosing the asio driver, it only works over mme/directx. On Windows, the best performing driver type is ASIO. Most audio interfaces generally come with a custom ASIO driver.
